Skotten is located in the heart of an extensive trail network, with miles of groomed cross-country ski tracks right on our doorstep.

Whether you prefer a short family outing or a full day of skiing through beautiful mountain terrain, there is something for everyone.

Snowshoeing

Join us on a snowshoe hike to Skottåsen and experience the winter darkness at its most beautiful. Along the way, we take time to pause, admire the stars, and enjoy the silence.

The mountains of Ringebu offer dark skies and excellent conditions for experiencing the magic of the night sky.

Fireplace

After a day out in the snow, there’s nothing better than warming up indoors. Settle down by the fireplace with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, bring out a board game, and enjoy the cosy atmosphere at Skotten.

Advent and Christmas

During Advent, Skotten is filled with Christmas spirit, candlelight, and the aroma of traditional festive food.

Every Friday and Saturday, we serve our traditional Christmas dinners, and throughout December we also host cosy Advent lunches.

Easter

Easter is one of the most enjoyable times of the year in the mountains.

Join us for pub nights, quizzes, our traditional “ideal time” ski race, and a delicious Easter dinner on Easter Saturday.

Skotten is the perfect base for winter adventures in Gudbrandsdalen.
